A bespoke, contemporary family home nestled in a secluded setting off the prestigious Tadcaster Road, opposite York’s internationally renowned racecourse. Vincent & Partners worked collaboratively with the client to develop the brief and create a clear vision for a unique, modern family home.

The resulting scheme delivers a striking, contemporary property with innovative split-level interior. The design was conceived to provide flexibility in living and enhance the everyday luxury and wellbeing of the occupants. An L-shaped plan delivers two distinct garden spaces linked by a generous, light filled family room, erasing the boundaries between internal and external space. The resulting design is a prestigious residence with clean, elegant lines that nestles unobtrusively within its leafy enclave.

On approaching the property, an atrium roof demarcates the entrance and allows light to flood in, whilst simultaneously screening from adjacent neighbours. Downstairs, the palatial en-suite master bedroom with separate dressing room opens out onto a private terrace, with uninterrupted views of the garden beyond. Across the hall, the large kitchen dining room benefits from bi-fold doors to two elevations, enhancing the sense of space and ease of access to the courtyard and landscaped gardens.
