Two new one-bedroom homes, tucked behind an existing terrace in central York.
The site sits within the Central Historic Core Conservation Area, which led us to a deliberately careful and modest approach: single-storey in appearance from the street, garden-facing, and a palette pairing traditional brickwork with a standing seam zinc cladding.
The layout gives each home its own independent access, while a considered mix of soft and hard landscaping reinforces the green, enclosed character of the rear garden.
