Phase 3 Underway - Poppleton Methodist Church

Work is well underway for Phase 3 of Poppleton Methodist Church.

Following successful fundraising campaigns and the completion of their new church entrance and hall, Poppleton Methodist Church and the team at Paul Foster Interiors have begun renovation works on the main building – due to be complete in time for the Christmas services!

Inside of the nineteenth century chapel, the floor has been carefully removed to allow regrading for full wheelchair accessibility. The roof is now fully insulated, and further upgrades for thermal performance including the addition of secondary glazing and Air Source Heat Pumps are due to be installed. Solar panels will also be added as part of the renovation works.

Having been involved in the project since 2015, we’re thrilled to see the progress made in this latest phase, and are looking forward to seeing the space redecorated and restored. The next phase aims to enhance the church’s community offering with the creation of a new central hub, including a community café, larger kitchen and dedicated meeting rooms.
