Beverley House - Site Progress!

Beverley House construction is underway at pace with local contractors Southbank Homes working on the new builds and York Builder concentrating on the renovation of the existing Beverley House.

Vincent & Partners Architect Stephan Currie is overseeing both the new build and renovation works.

The proposed scheme includes restoration of the existing late-Victorian house and 3 new residential blocks, creating 21 new homes in the Clifton area. Works on site are progressing well with the new-build foundations complete and brickwork up to ground level.

Within Beverley House the strip out and internal demolition works are continuing, and focus is now on removal of the existing roof with the aim to commence installation of the new roof steelwork by Christmas.

An application for planning consent has been submitted for the residential re-development and refurbishment of Beverley House on Shipton Road in York. Purchased from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the substantial dwelling was formerly home to the general manager of York’s Rowntree Cocoa Works but more recently housed the Local Government Ombudsmen office.
