About our client 
Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company was established in 2005 by the Qatar Investment Authority, the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar. Headquartered northeast of capital Doha on the coast of the Arabian Gulf. Qatari Diar was entrusted to support Qatar’s growing economy and to coordinate the country’s real estate development priorities. 

Our role
Following our completion of the Chelsea Barracks Marketing Suite, Qatari Diar appointed us to redevelop the space used by the marketing suite and create four new luxury apartments with two retail spaces at ground level. Works included internal refurbishment, the addition of a second floor and new windows sensitively placed within the façade. We provided full architectural services and on-site services. The project was completing in summer 2020.

Applying our technical deliver expertise 
The marketing suite was housed in a purpose-built, temporary modular building. It was a non-standard building type, built onsite. The conversion would have to work within the existing modular structure, including the overall height, which was defined at the beginning of the planning process. The redevelopment had a very short lead time and the apartments had to work from a commercial point of view. Every detail of the design of the apartment and retail spaces was carefully considered and meticulously executed. The highest-grade natural materials and state-of-the art technology all served to showcase the exceptional craftsmanship. This project tested our technical delivery expertise as well as our design skills and we and our clients are really happy with the result.
