City of York Council has commenced work on its new Local Plan 2045, with a Call for Sites consultation now open until 18 December 2026. This presents an important opportunity for landowners, developers and investors to put forward sites for consideration for future allocation within the new Local Plan.

Sites can be submitted for a range of uses, including residential, commercial, employment and mixed-use development.
