Introducing...
Welcome to Our Newest Team Members!
It’s been great to welcome Katie, Alice and Shona to the team over the last few weeks, who are based in our York office and bring a variety of experience and skills to the team!
Katie is a detail focused Part II Architectural Assistant with prior experience in Passivhaus construction, largely within the bespoke residential and education sectors. Her studies have focused on alternatives in design for palliative care.
Katie studied at Newcastle University and integrates holistic approaches to architecture which consider building comfort, human scale, spatial design and material technologies informed by local materials.
Alice is a Part I Architectural Assistant with a passion for Adaptive Reuse in heritage buildings; believing in the sustainability and conservation importance of retaining existing historic fabric, where possible.
Alice studied Interior Architecture at Northumbria University and also has previous experience in designing healthcare buildings, developing her design and technical skills.
Shona has worked in Canada, the UK and internationally and has experience across all sectors. Recent experience includes retirement/care homes, government facilities, school and day cares as well as leisure facilities and renovation/adaptive reuse.
Shona enjoys challenging projects and believes that collaboration, communication and teamwork are key. Projects that allow the natural environment to work in balance with the built form, to create a true sense of place, and safeguard it for future generations is a passion of Shana's.
