Celebrating York Design Award's Winning Projects!

Last week, we had a wonderful evening attending the 2026 York Design Awards ceremony, where we were proud to have two projects shortlisted in the Multi-Residential category, Beverley Court & Urban Renaissance.

Among the category’s winners was Mikhail Riches Duncombe Square, a scheme we had the pleasure of visiting earlier this year. The project transforms the former barracks and training ground into a generous housing scheme, benefitting from public space and delivering Passivhaus-certified homes.

GWP Architecture also took home the award for their student accommodation scheme, Rialto House, which responds sensitively to it’s heritage setting and features thoughtfully designed communal spaces for the residents. 

Well done to these fantastic designers and projects, whose work continues to help shaped York’s architectural scene. A huge thank you to the York Design Awards for inviting us to such a great evening at York Racecourse, celebrating the very best of York’s architectural and design community.
